this is the seven sisters, and daniel in the background, having a great time at daniel's wedding july 10th.....eventually i will get to blog about it....that great day that patience was driving a totalled her car.....i will also blog about our great vacation, and some of the quilty and knitty things that i have done lately...the kids go back to school in a week and a half....perhaps THEN i will get to....today i get my mamogram....what else will the day hold?
my goal is to try to be a little better at blogging things as they happen instead of once every 2 months. i mean, so much junk happens in one day for me ususally, that for most people it would take a month of sundays for it all to happen.....take sunday for example....
we start the day in beautiful escondido, the last day of the vacation....mostly the morning was spent in cleaning up the timeshare and packing it up for the 2 hr. drive home.....uneventful and peaceful so far.
we arrive home to the news that one of the dogs is much sicker than we thought. i believe she was bitten by a black widow spider, and it appears she will be dying soon....sad.
then, patience calls on her way home from work in kevin's car, it is making a "funny noise" and driving a bit weird. she limps it home slowly. his engine is blown....bummer.
tadhgain and i go outside to look for a burial site. we see smoke around the corner, i hear God telling me to go and see it. normally i am not a real smoke chaser, but the boys and i hop in the car and drive over there. kevin and patience were on their way home from the store and happened across the lady that lived in the burning house. they went home and i stayed with the lady and her 6 yr. old son, cody. i had cody go join the boys in the car so he felt a bit more comfortable....we ended up staying for a long time, then eventually brought cody home for some dinner and a space away from the dark of night and his house that had burnt to the ground.....he stayed with us til about 10:30 p.m. while his mom and stepdad were dealing with the fire dept and the remains of the house etc. it was an electrical fire that took that house down in a heartbeat, and all of them were so lucky to have gotten out....
during the course of the evening, our little dog eireann passed away....
welcome home!!!
