having a bit of a lie-in--because i am invisible and on vacation from life in general
in ireland, they call sleeping in, a lie-in.....today, i gave myself permission to lie in bed until noon. i have only done that once that i can remember.....and, that time i was SICK!!! this time i was just plain tuckered out with all of the activities of the past month or so....so, i am gifting myself with a total whole day off of anything that i don't want to do....no cleaning, NONE!!! nothing of being responsible......just like i am not home. i am playing on the computer for a bit more then going out to read on my porch. in my nightgown!!! i will knit a bit and quilt a bit....then, go to bed when ever i want.....then, tomorrow i will be a real and responsible person, but for today i am invisible and on vacation from life.

I haven't made it till noon but I do enjoy taking an extra hour now and then, you just enjoy yourself. have a great day.- cw
i did not make it til noon either LOL only til 11:30 and that was pushing it....but, i did have a nice day. i ended up doing some errands and having a cat-scan for chronic headaches and attending a sign language class with my daughter and grand daughter where i sat and stitched ribbon to more of my tattoo quilt.....there are only a couple hundred yards to go round (both sides too!!) and then more errands and shopping....but it was still a VERY nice day...today is filled with STUFF to do, but i am sure that i will still get time to "smell the roses"
When my kids were growing up every once in awhile during summer vacation I would declare a day off for us and we wouldn't do any work, just go to the library and rest and read all day. They were wonderful and a good together time as we would all lay on my bed together and read to our hearts content. Both of my kids have always been avid readers. A different thing than your current lie-in, but a pleasant memory that yours reminded me of.
