it's beginning to look alot like christmas......

or atleast it SHOULD be!!!   we normally decorate the house and get the tree out the day after thanksgiving.  not this year.....the tree is STILL not up, but patience is insisting that we do it today....which means that i have to go get my "area" cleaned up to make room for the tree....she is working on getting to the boxes in the FAR corner of the cluttered garage as i type, so i had better get moving on getting my sewing and knitting mess cleaned up....

i did go to a little christmas concert of tadhgain's last week, and listening to the carols started to get me in the mood.  i think by not being out in the world much, but always at home now, i do not seem to get very excited for the holidays like i used to.....i used to be exposed to the hustle and bustle of the getting ready in the world....now, i am just home, and wasn't it just time for the kids to go back to school??!!  then halloween hit, znd BAM, right after that, it was time for thanksgiving!!!  and, now, christmas is upon us.....i know that it is, because i procrastinated in making the 21 gifts that i promised back in september, or october, until this week.  guess when i need to give them to the lady i promised them to for her church??!!  yes, this friday. yes, that will be a crunch to get done.....but, it is typical of what i do to myself....

oh no!!!!  here comes patience with some christmas stuff--i better get moving!

I haven't decorated yet, either, but then I don't usually until one or two weeks before Christmas. And work has been crazy, so I'm getting behind on all the gifts I wanted to make this year. So what am I doing? Reading blogs...

some of us just thrive on last minute. I haven't decorated yet either. I usually wait till one of the kids comes home and says, let's open a few boxes and see what falls out. It seems every year a different child takes on themselves to make me holiday up. (even the grandkids get a kick out of digging through the storeroom for treasure.)

Well wasn't I happy to see your blog... for two reasons!!! One, because I was happy to see you are decorating (even if it is via Patience). And two, just because you're back doing what you do so well! Yay!!!
