integrating.....

integrating...what a great word!

i haven't blogged in a thousand years.   i haven't done a lot of some things, but have done lots of others.

i am working on finally putting into practice many of the things that i have been learning along the way. i want to live more peacefully and to be in control of my life and belongings instead of them controlling me.

today i took the head off a davis treadle machine and dropped my kenmore powerhorse that i like for piecing into it. that moved my machine off my table, the treadle into the area that my quilting machine is in and the printer into the family room next to the chair where i sit with the computer.

i didn't use the davis head. i am going to sell it and it's bits on a davis group. yeah!

i loved my kenmore, but it nearly took a crane to move it from spot to spot. it now has a permanent home--and i can even watch a movie and sew now, but it is on wheels if i want to move the thing. now, it is in a better spot and the treadle still looks cute! win-win-win!!!

the printer is now next to me. this is where the davis treadle machine used to be. it looked cute, but all it really did was hold my cup of coffee for me in the morning. now, i can sit and play on the computer, print AND drink coffee all at the same time!!

now, work towards integrating god, the kids, the chores, quilting, knitting, the computer and blogging, photography,  the errands....life.....here's to integration!

so good to see you back. I haven't been keeping up with reading the blog rolls and miss seeing when 'friends' pop in and out.
hope this next year is even better for you. cw

Hi Lynne, I saw your post on the Davis group. Are you in CA? I might be interested in your Davis, depending on model, year, etc. I looked back on your Davis posts and you seemed to indicate you had an industrial type model. Anyway, I live in CA central valley and would be interested in the above and your asking price. Ross

hey ross,

yes, i am in southern california. where a bouts are you in the central valley? i drive up towards sacramento often....i actually have no idea as to what model it is as the plate with the serial number is missing ;o( yes, it is an industrial machine. it was used in covina, ca for making the tarps for the orange groves (to protect them from frost) by a friends great grandfather way back in the day.

if you can, contact me thru the group, doing a reply to sender, that way i can chat about this more with you ;o) thanks.
