i am tired of parenting today....

you know, when there are 11 kids, you know you are gonna be parenting for a VERY long time. daniel is 28, and i haven't parented him in a long time, but that is how long ago i started out.....tadhgain is almost 7. i have been parenting non-stop for nearly 3 decades!!! i have a very long time to go still and i sure could use a second wind :o)

some days get discouraging when they just do not do what they are supposed to do and just snipe at each other all day long....and if the chores would get done without me having to bitch and moan would sure be nice.......i have come to the conclusion that i need a vacation. oh yeah, i just got back from one.....what i really need is kids that would finally GET IT and be kind, loving, respectful, obedient, tidy kids that never squabble with each other or borrow each others stuff without asking.....reality is is that i know that they are just being normal kids......i also know that when there are 6 and 2 halves kids still at home, there is alot more going on than there would be if there were only 2 or 3 kids at home, and if i hadn't been doing this already for 3 decades LOL

just venting for a few minutes sure is nice.....and, looking thru the pictures to eventually post of them all makes me glad i have em but boy howdy, it sure is a rough afternoon!!! i think i need to go find some chocolate and pretzels somewhere!!!

good thing we are going to church tonite and i am thrilled that kevin gets to go with again as he does not teach on wednesdays anymore :o) AND, i don't have to cook dinner as we eat at church, and i get fed spiritually too--hope the kids do too LOL

good thing that i DO know that this too shall pass, and that tomorrow is, after all, a new day, and we all know that....with each new day comes fresh hope :o)
