cinco de mayo.....

for me and my family cinco de mayo means something different than it does for all the rest of the world....for me, it is all about the 5's........

i am the 5th born of 6......my shea is the 5th born of 11....we are both really barbaras, but go by our middle names....anyway we celebrate cinco de mayo in honor of US!!!

we didn't do a very good job of celebrating this year because shea had to work, and kevin is working.....but, we did do tacos (who didn't???) that were amazing. i am happy that i cook now. my boys said it was the best meal i have ever cooked LOL the girls said nope, my enchiladas (god's perfect food) are better, as well as some of my soups.....but, they all did concur that we would make a MUCH better show than "jon and kate plus 8" and a WWWAAAYYYY better show than the family with a thousand kids and counting.....anyway, shea was happy with her vegitarian spicy taco meat and the avocados i got for her and a bit later i am taking her out to Juice it Up...ew.....but, it usually IS about what the 18 yr. old wants as opposed to what the mom wants.....the mom wants a HUGE margarita :o) i AM making one before i go to bed i hope....or i will have another cervesa....did i spell that right??

shea just FINALLY went back to work yesterday. she has been off since january due to an injured shoulder, then, last week she had all 4 wisdom teeth out.....she was pretty pooped today.....




the pictures are of shea the sunday before last. we had a crawfish boil after church and what a FUN time we all had. shea, being a vegetarian, just sat and peeled them for siobhan and kevin...our clan crowley pile was ENORMOUS!!! i ate 0. i touched 0. i had a little bit of a problem with a DROP of juice on my pants LOL they creeped me out. siobhan ate more than anyone else there i think. i will post about that later....i am still behind, and gotta do the rest of my trip, and the cruise, and women's retreat this past weekend.....it was amazing...

God is good all the time, and all the time God is good....anyway, today is a blessed day.....God has blessed me tremendously today and has given me one of the desires of my heart....He does bless obedience.....but more on THAT later too :o)
