family fun at the park...

we had the best time on memorial day at english springs park in chino hills.....food, family and fun! we got together in honor of my sister ruth, it was her birthday and caitlin, my niece, wanted a party in her honor......everyone was there except for our j.k., steven, and matt. steven and j.k. were working, and matt is in romania on a missions trip.....and my nephew brian, ruth's son, his fiance, alex, and their daughte luna were also not able to be there coz they live up north and are in process of buying a house....anyway, the rest of the clan was here....i am thrilled that i get to post a picture of everyone in the fam....as well as a few ducks and TURTLES!!!

oh my gosh! dozens of them live in this beautiful park and pond.....they all climbed on themselves taking up the sun.....they swam along in the pond with their little heads above water....they were way too cool to watch, and we spent alot of time just watching them.

so...here is a little run-down of the clan crowley....

the patriarch

kevin really seemed to enjoy himself and had a nice time visiting and just watching his clan....blessed is the man whose quiver is full....i would have to say that kevin is truly blessed. so am i. of course i am always behind the camera, so it is a rare thing to find me in a picture, which is just fine with me :o)

too bad i couldn't get the cropped head of daniel, 29, to post...but there he is..not the most flattering picture of him i have ever taken though :o)

daniel's fiance marissa....as you know, we love marissa....they plan on getting married july 10 of next year, my parent's anniversary

poor rhiannon, almost 27, that little tristan just ran her ragged....he didn't have a nap at all, but sure did have a fun time eating and playing.

arcadia, rhiannon's oldest, can't believe she just turned 8!
my little eireland,,,, now 5....we sure had a fun time playing today. she really wants to go back to that park with me one day. can't believe she is going to kindergarten this fall....i am sure gonna miss her playing with me....

tristan, rhinnon's youngest (til september that is when tristan gets a new brother--right before he turns 2 in october) he sure had a great time playing and eating!

this is where you SHOULD see a picture of jenna, but for some reason i did not get a picture of her except for the back of her head LOL, BUT...her graduation as well as her husband matt's is the next thing for me to blog about, so there WILL be pictures in the next blog post...
but here is our little silas boy.....
what a sweet little baby he is...can't believe he is near 3 months already...where did the time go???
next, should come our j.k, 22, .....but as i said, he had to work.....so, here is shea, 18.

wonder if it was a good hand? it was really nice for all of the girly girl cousins to sit and play cards together. shea, at 18....she graduates next week......yeah!!!!

patience at 17.....she graduates next week too....i think she is pretty happy about that! they both actually finished last december....but she is taking classes at college now..she had a great time today with the babies.....and went home with jenna to stay with her and help her with silas since matt is gone for a while to romania......

randi, just turned 15 the 24th, ....she has kevin's eyes....it was funny, when they got to the park, an asian lady asked randi "you got the chinese?" to which randi replied no. they lady then said "oh, you got the chinky-chinky eyes" That was just WWWAAAAYYYY too funny!!!

providence, 13, sure was great today....did a really good job of being an all around good kid...she helped out with the little kids ALOT, but she also had a nice time on her own and really got around and visited well with everyone of every age...i think that is a great thing! she really enjoyed her day i think.

siobhan, 12.....she had a great time with the camera! she really loves taking pictures too....it seems to be a family thing....me, daniel, j.k. and her...the boys like to play too, but siobhan really sets up her shots and does a really nice job....

caoin, 9, really had a good time today. i can't believe how he has grown. he has gone from a little boy to a pre-teen this year in so many ways.....his humor is really developing, and he is quite fun to chat with.

my little tadghgain boy...he sure had a good time seeing the turtles, he wanted to take one home soooooooo badly.....and oh, how he loved seeing all the dogs and got to pet many of them....he NEEDS a pet....too bad he doesn't count my birds as acceptable pets....coz i sure don't want anything else right now, but he sure does. sure am glad that at 7 he is still my little boy....

so, that was my family.....here is the rest of the clan......

ray, my brother in law.....i think he had a nice time too, and was happy to see us honor his wife on her birthday....

jennifer, ruth's second child....she loved watching the turtles too....

ruth's youngest, caitlin....this big shebang was her brilliant idea! i think she was happy to get to play cards with her cousins....a family tradition...

my sister joan.......and follows is her family....

amin, joan's husband, taking a little resty.....it was funny, in this series of pictures it starts with silas sleeping, then goes thru all the men with close ups of them all taking their little siestas.
amin was really all over the place though, even brought his bike and rode all over....just so happens that the only picture we got of him was of him sleeping :o)

too bad i did not get a good picture of kaleena, she is next to shea behind those foster grants....

cade had already been camping for a few days and only got to join us for a short time.

my mom....she had a really nice time i think seeing so much family having such a nice time.

and my dad....i think this is a really nice picture of him. i think he also had a really nice time seeing all of us....i know that he sure misses my sister ruth. i can't imagine burying a child....it was a bittersweet day for him i think....but more sweet than bitter, and that is what healing is all about.
thanks caitlin, for suggesting such a nice thing for a tribute to your mom. you gave us some nice memories of family playing together today.....
and, boy howdy would my sister have loved today...she loved watching her family, she loved visiting with everyone, and she loved playing cards.....she loved babies, she loved life....
