i was just sitting in my family room, looking at the christmas tree that still has no ornaments on it even though it has been up for 2 weeks.....just the pretty lights.....anyway, playing on my little computer, enjoying the stuff and activity of all the various kids' activities going on when i hear one of my very favorite of all times songs, but it is not beingdone by stevie nicks....i found out it is by boyce avenue. randi was listening to it, and watching it on youtube, so of course i had to go find it....here it is.....
and, then, wouldn't it be nice to see the lyrics? funny, i have never even seen them, just have loved it ever since the first time i ever heard it.....everytime i hear it, i stop and listen LOL
i took my love, i took it down
climbed a mountain and i turned around
and i saw my reflection in the snow covered hills
'til the landslide brought it down
oh, mirror in the sky -what is love?
-can the child within my heart rise above?
-can i sail thru the changin' ocean tides?
-can i handle the seasons of my life?
i don't know.....
well, i've been afraid of changin'
'cause i've built my life around you
but time makes you bolder
even children get older
and i'm getting older too
oh, take my love, take it down
climb a mountain and turn around
-and if you see my reflection in the snow covered hills
well the landslide will bring it down
-and if you see my reflection in the snow covered hills
well the landslide will bring it down the landslide will bring it down
hhhmmmmm.....

I have always loved this song, but when my father passed it became particularly important to me, so much so that I learned to play it on the piano.
A year ago I saw Stevie in concert, yes she is up there now in age, but still amazing. She performed Landslide, sent chills up and down my spine, particularly when viewing the backdrop of photos...I never knew that she wrote this song in memory of her Dad.
I realized then why I had connected with the song so strongly.
