all i want for christmas.....

this little stocking card was made for one of my groups for the "all i want for christmas" swap. i wrote on the back: all i want for christmas is a long arm machine under the tree and a stocking full of fabric and thread" i must say, i was thrilled with how the card turned out. it has alot of texture and dimension to it.

it took alot of morphing before it ended up like this....i quilted that great ohio star fabric that i have had forever and then appliqued the stocking on, glued the folded fabric scraps and topped that with the top cuff of the stocking.....the ones i sent out though are made with red satin stockings and i did a satin stitch around them.....so, they are a bit classier than this one that i kept for myself....
