the next day.....a beautiful morning

too bad this picture is on it's side....i find that i take most pictures with the camera held vertically and always have to rotate...aparently i forgot to do this one, but it is the pine tree in front of the house, and there is still the moon....what a gorgeous blue, blue, BLUE sky this morning--like it has been scrubbed clean.

siobhan and caoin last night after their last snowball fight .......

what a thrill to see icicles!!! we don't have these often here, so i was just a very happy woman!

and then, this morning, i was overjoyed at what i got to see hanging from the eaves.....

providence and caoin thought they were pretty cool too and thought they made great popsicles :o)

and caion was looking up at them, all the while i am thinking of "the christmas story" movie where all ralphie wants is his red ryder bb gun and gets told that he'll shoot his eye out by everyone...then he does, but he blames it on the icicles LOL

and, two little artsy ones.....the little bird was so cute hopping from bush to tree to snow.....

and, on the front porch on the bench i made from the old red painted boards from the torn down chicken house, there's the lantern and the kettles.....

ok, what else do we have???? to the east......from the front

yep, the car is still at the top of the driveway there, but just a bit ago the kids got it dug out and and made a clean getaway....they are tired of being cooped up at home....

and, j.k.'s little car is just covered.....

this is from the front looking towards the north east....the joshua tree sure is pretty with it's spikes and snow.....

i must say, it is pretty nice living on 5 acres.....the landscape covered with snow is just incredibly beautiful!
