what a nice day it started out to be. a bit colder than i wanted, mid to high 60’s—i know, i have NOTHING to complain about since most of the country is hovering at freezing or below, but it has been in the 70’s and 80’s recently…..it was gorgeous blue skies though and a perfect day for playing in the park. rhiannon and her family had started out at a different park and then we met them at this one. eireland really loves to have picnics—so we had a nice little snacky picnic. tristan was having a nice nap when we arrived.
they all played on the equipment and played tag.
so, we are all having a fun time. they are all running around playing freeze tag. justin, the guy in the blue shorts, was “it” and running after someone and accidentally stepped on arcadia’s hand/wrist. it didn’t look too good, so i sent her off down the hill to the urgent care for xrays.
we stayed for a bit then started to pack it all up. providence went to rhiannon’s to watch tristan and she called me saying that he had apparently hurt his leg at the other park going down the slide and that he would not put any weight on it and could not walk. so, i went to check it out, and called rhiannon who said that arcadia’s wrist was broken and was being casted. i told her i would meet her halfway with tristan as i believed he needed to be seen too. so….here is our little man with his cast from his thigh to his toes. he has a spiral fracture of his tibia……poor little guy, and he has to be in his cast for 4 weeks. poor us….i do have to say though, that he sure was a good little happy guy today even though he could not walk or crawl……..life will be interesting…..what are the chances of having 2 kids in the same family breaking bones playing at the park???
i think it will be a while before we go back to the park.
