and, the winner is…..

 

this was made, along with 3 other identical ones, in memory of the first trip that my sisters and my mother and i took to cambria a few years ago.  i believe it is a debbie mumm design, but could be wrong….i love this little table runner quilt top.  it has so many things that remind me of our trip.

the beautiful blues of the sky and the ocean….the fantastic pine trees in cambria, the yellows of the wild flowers and the sun, and the apples from our trip to san luis obispo to eat lunch and shop at apple farm inn.   we had the best time on moonstone beach collecting rocks and they are represented in the fabric in the center…..yeah, i know they are really probably eggs, but they look like the smooth round stones at moonstone beach…….

i finished my sisters and mothers, and mine sits and waits to be done….all it needs, just like all of my other tops, is to be sandwiched and quilted and bound…..

if you have been reading my blog for any period of time, you know that cambria is a special place to me…..and, that i miss my sister……and that is why this one wins out for getting finished first…..it could also be that it wins out coz it is the smallest LOL
