for the first block inthe mystery sew-a-long i have done the official counting :o) and, no, the picture above is NOT the block, it is just another tease, and also gives you a hint at how to choose your colors.
you will need:
20 of the first color. this is my color black. it will be noted by the letter B from here on out.
16 of the second color, this is my green. it will be noted by the letter G from here on out.
12 of the third color, this is my purple. it will be noted by the letter P from here on out.
33 of the background color. this is my white on white and will be a - on the charts.
a total of 81 squares, coz we are making nine 9-patches that we are going to sew into a chunk.
i am being a lazy girl today and will possible count up the rest of the total colors to list, but for now, you know that you will need atleast that many squares cut of your colors by july first--not too terribly many days away :o) i am getting excited for that day to arrive!

Yet...today when I needed to restock my yellow thread at the LQS, I found myself fondling a stack of purple FQ's.............
.....yeah....I bought 'em! I still am very fond of the purple/green coloring! I might just have to suck-it-up and take these blocks on, one day at a time.

well, the nice thing about doing scrappy is that you can just stack and whack those purple fq's and make a pile to work from.
the really nice thing about this is that it makes such a nice leaders/enders quilt. i think i am gonna have to go do another little postie about this....i am supposed to be making phone calls--ew! much more fun to blog.....
