what's that they say about the best intentions? they lead to where? i had high hopes for today to get lots of great "homey" things done....
i ended up with student led conferences with 2 of the girls. in middle school here they have the kids meet with the parents and tell and show what they have been doing.....kinda nice i guess....took lots of the morning....then drove those kids to do daycare for rhiannon so she and her husband could go to lunch with kevin.....that was nice for them :o)
then, drove another daughter to work then hit home.....
played with some postcard makings for a bit, then, time to go to another conference--parent teacher for 4th grade this time....hop in the car, run over the puppy.......geez!!! luckily he was not hurt too badly, strained the leg, but not broken.....yeah!!! needless to say i did not get to that conference....kinda put a damper on the rest of the day for me.....now i have it resting inside--do i want a dog inside??? nope. actually, do i want a dog outside??? nope. do i want dogs???? nope.....kevin said we could have rhiannon's dog here when she moved a few years ago.....it was supposed to go to a new house with her.....it is still here.....i digress......
about 3 the girls got brought home with tristan to stay here til 7......did dinner, went to get another daughter from work and took her and tristan home....back home.....
have absolutely NO desire to do anything productive or homey anymore.....AND, tomorrow i have jury duty!!!! geez!!!! can this day get any worse???
actually, yes, it could. and i could quit whining any time now huh? ok, still have about an hour before kevin gets home from work......what can i do that would be a happy thing for him for when he comes home after a long day of working and teaching??? ok, off to go do some of that :o)
and, isn't it grand that even with jury duty, that with each new day comes fresh hope? i am gonna try to bring in my knitting--last time they let me. depends on the person at the little metal detector area......
