ok, here they are.....

i just LOVE this mug. i have a small fetish with all things cabled.....i tell women on the street how lovely their sweaters are when i see a lovely cable.......i knit a purse with 3 cables--LOVE it! last night i found a pattern for a great throw i want to make with some fantastic cable work. i really do love the simple little plain cable too, and when i saw this mug, my heart did a little flip......it reminds me of the irish hiking scarf that i have knit so many of, then, found the improved version that is reversible.....i still have to get more of that grey self-striping yarn to finish the one up-- i digress.....anyway, the cables on this mug just make me happy!

here is jenna in the teal cancer ribbon cap i made. it is from carissa knits, if you google it, search for carissa knits breast cancer hat, and voila, there you go. it is SO cute made up. it really has 6 panels that are seperated with a little twist, and is supposed to have a ribbon in each part, but since i am making about a bakers dozen of these, some of them are getting only 1 ribbon LOL the teal is of course for ovarian cancer in honor of my dear sister.....i am making them for the nieces, sister, sister-in-law, my mom, my daughters....actually, i have to make 15 of these--about half of them will have only 1 ribbon.....i am so thankful for carissa designing this little hat. she is actually a very talented designer and has LOTS of great patterns......you should go check her out........

ok, i am now gonna go get dressed and head out to the stores.....it seems odd to not have been out either all nite, or very early in the morning to start in on our shopping.....we are doing very little shopping however this year. i am only going out to joannes for some.......YARN!!! and, also going to get some christmas cheer and atmosphere.......i love the excitement of people doing shopping for christmas........
