my new toy :o)

i tell ya, i have to have the best husband ever!!! he told me a few days ago that he got my christmas gift. knowing full wel how much that would just drive me nuts. i am worse than a kid. i am so curious and just want to know what it is!!! i am the kind that peeks. i normally open packages that arrive by mail. even when they are addressed to kevin, coz he lets me coz he knows how much i love to open packages. yesterday the mail lady brought a big package. i was about to open it, but remembered that he had said he had bought my gift so i called him at work to ask if i could open it. no. bummer. so, i went and put it away in the gift closet without even peeking. however, i noted that it was from amazon.com i thought that amazon only sold books for some reason. i thought geez, that is alot of books! but, i love books, so that would be a great gift. when kevin got home late last night, he asked to see the box. i went and got it, he said i could go ahead and open it......hip hip hooray!!!!

isn't it just soooooo cute? a tiny little laptop!!! of my very own!!! i am one thrilled woman!!! i have had so much fun playing with it! those squares on the leafy runners are only 3 inches, so it is only about 10 inches wide......now, i have to go clean my room and file some insurance claims from when kevin had cancer this past year......that was the deal, i could have it early if i agreed to do those 2 things. the kids all thought that i should have to wait til i got those 2 things accomplished.....they are mean! LOL kevin is nice!!! i got it BEFORE i did the deeds. and here i was thinking that yesterday was just an icky day.

oh, by the way, the puppy is fine and dandy, not even limping today, and, i got excused from jury duty after i went there this morning :o) the pork and chicken are cooking already for the tamale making party on saturday and i am now gonna go pop a movie in the dvd player and start in on the bedroom......the kids are making fun of me that i am blogging about my new computer.

Oh, too cute!!! I haven't yet made the switch to a notebook, but this little one is really tempting me!

Those little computers are not much bigger than the ones we got from the One Laptop Per Child Project, which we also got for us, in case of emergency. I just got this laptop, to replace my 13inch screen pc which has issues. The screen on this is 15 inches and now I can't go back to small. How did the tamale making party turn out? I thought that sounded like such fun, I have to make mine by myself as no one wants to put that much effort into tamales, since we live in California and you can buy tamales on about every street here in San Diego. Thanks for the heads up on Starbucks, I have to go check out the decorations; are those mugs for sale, do you know?

i am in southern california as well and tamales are in abundance around here too, but home made is better, and i KNOW what is in them LOL--i pick my meat really clean--no veins or fat etc...eeww!! the party was grand fun, but one too many margaritas i would have to say--ei yi yi yi yi--but was GRAND fun!

and, yes, the mugs are for sale, but the decor is not.....i LOVE it though....and, i have still not gotten my cable mug--but hopefully will soon--geez- with all these kids (only 4 now--used to be 6) working at starbucks, you would think that one of them would bring me home one huh?

i am used to a larger computer too, but love the easy portability of this one, and this one is MINE all MINE, the kids are not allowed to touch it :o)

LOL, yes, you get to put your laptop in your purse when you travel. I have to say, I am tempted, that cute little guy is easy to transport, isn't it? I don't know if you plan on taking it to Starbucks but I hear that they charge for internet use, but I know Paneras is free (and I live there with my knitting friends!) just in case you are out and about.

panera's has the BEST bread!!! good thing we don't have one in our town--bread is my downfall!

i haven't taken it to starb's yet, because i have only gone there to take/pick up kids from work, and if i have to wait, then i work on knitting that i always lug around with me. i got to sit and knit for 45 minutes last night, and it was HEAVEN!!! but mostof the time i am just in and out.....
