faith to be strong.....

i had the joy of seeing one of my dear friends today..... but she was hurting. life sometimes throws us some things that are just really hard, and hard to understand. some things we know we deserve for consequences of our sin and bad behavior, but when life throws you something HUGE when you have been doing all the right things...being a Godly and loving person--it is harder to go on graciously.

it is hard when life gets tough to swallow hard and to do the big hard thing--to stay and to face it all. there is really only one way to do that--by the grace of God, with Him in us, giving us the faith to be strong.....

one of my sister's dear friends gave her the following song while she was ill. ruth LOVED this song and played it over and over again....she also prayed it over and over again.

we played it at her service and printed the lyrics in the program....our hope is that we can all pray this song.....and draw strength and comfort from it.

my hope is that my dear friend will draw upon God too for faith to be strong as she faces this really tough patch in her life and that she will find the grace to go on, because even though it seems like it would be easier to runaway--it really wouldn't be at all. and really, we don't want to REALLY run away....we just want it all to be a bit easier for a bit again while we catch our breath and gather strength to go on again.....
