first, friday night j.k. and i went to the tatoo parlor so he could get his other arm done that he has been wanting to do for a long time. he has "speo in deo" (latin for hope in god) on one forearm and wanted woe is me (vae est mihi latin too) from when isiah went and saw God and felt unworthy to be in His presence on the other one.....looks good huh??
and then he asked me if i wanted my other foot done for my birthday.....don't have to ask me twice!!! heck yeah!!! so, i dug out my little piece of jewelry from my wallet that i have been lugging around that i bought off ebay. when i saw it, i KNEW that that was the design for my other foot's tatoo. it is about the size of a nickel.......we blew it up on the copy machine then she drew it out for the tatoo and stencil......
so..... i got my foot started. tatoos take A LONG time to do--well, if you want them done well they do....and kelly at crossroads in hesperia does an amazing job.....so, i got part of my foot done, but then it was past closing time so i needed to come back the next day to finish up. it looks amazing though just like that even doesn't it??? but wait.....it gets even better!!! LOL
so, i go back saturday morning....well, am i glad we did that! you never really want to hurry up to finish--your tatoo will reflect that....so....i got the rest colored in, but boy howdy, is that painful! first off, the foot is a painful place to get done, then, to go back in the next day, is painful coz it has already been thru trauma....but it was so worth it, the coloring in is amazing! and as we had been talking, we knew that we were going to freshen up the colors on my right foot that i had done in ireland a year ago......
wowie!!! does she do an amazing job or what??? they look fantastic together!!!! i am one happy woman!!! i would have to reccommend though that you do NOT get both feet done at once--boy howdy, does it hurt to walk! LOL red and swollen, but will be amazing and totally worth it in the long run......
kevin and tadhgain were out doing some errands while i was getting my feet done, tadhgain came into the shop to see if i was done, yep, i was......did tadhgain want a tatoo too??? SURE!!!
what a great little sharpie pen snake!!!! she did it in about 2 minutes flat, what a great artist, and so wonderful with him too--taking an interest in him and talking to him while drawing--she is really a great lady and mom and tatoo artist! i already have plans for what i am having done next--some scripture references on each foot at the bottom outside, and a teal cancer ribbon on my left ankle in honor of my sister ruth.......hip hip hooray!!!!! what a fun weekend we had!!!

How fun! That's fun that your little one got to participate! I've got two and have wanted more, more, more. Until my son came, I haven't known just what, but now I want his name artfuly done somewhere. Thanks for sharing your fun day!
Not a tatoo, but there is a knitten snake mitten pattern that is so darling, knit by a guy. Maybe your guy would want some?
