pictures of #2 and #3 and a caution...

shirley d. is making 2 of these....one of them is a mini in blues.....gorgeous isn't it? and so tiny!

are we having fun yet??? i know i am!! i am just having so much fun opening my mail and seeing new chunks.....so, finally i post them today....after i do that i am going to finally sit down and sew for a while myself and try to get caught up and a bit ahead if i can.

i did notice on one of the chunks that i saw in a picture that there was a misplacement of 2 pieces. i was happy i saw it and was able to notify the maker so that she can easily fix it while it is still in a small chunk rather than after it is all put together. so, here is my caution.....take care to study the grid before and after you make your chunk.....i have had to go and make a correction of my own on one of my blocks so i do know how easy it is to get one in a wrong spot :o) i also want to caution you to make sure that you number your chunks with a paper and a pin in the top left corner. it will help keep them organized and oriented to top when it is time to put them all together.....see what a good job mavis has done? here is her number 2 up in the top left corner!

and here are a few more.....one note though...i will try my best to get your pictures up but i know i will forget to post a picture or two, or that i will get the wrong name attached to a picture....so, know that my intentions are pure, i am just a mere human that struggles with organization sometimes.....i just forget which ones i have already posted so far etc....anyway, with that being said, here are a few of the pictures that were sent to me....

here is one of missy's ....that floral print sure is pretty in there with that rust and green isn't it? i am gonna go see/meet her in a few weeks!! so excited about that!

here are judie's.....

crap! i just deleted judie's other one!!! i think these are just beautiful and scrappy! judie is doing a great job!

this is shirley d's larger one. her colors are just gorgeous don't you think? i LOVE brown! this is a nice combination....

carla is also doing a really nice job with scrappy-ness.....LOVE it!

f

don't you just LOVE it with a black background??? i think these are going to be amazing!!! one is from angela and the other is from sherry.....i am so happy they did them with black background-i wanted to see that done SOOOOOO badly! now i get to with out having to make yet another one of these myself LOL
look what irene in new york just sent me.....the colors are so bright and vibrant! i LOVE her purples and greens and black soooo much!!!!

and, curious george is also doing a purple, green and black with white background so she didn't send pictures in....but wanted me to know that she is ready for some more chunks!!! good thing it is almost wednesday huh george????

my brain is tired of loading pictures....so that is all for this week.....i still have to get some other blogging done today too, and my brain is now already fried for this type of work...i will have to go give it a rest by sewing for a while :o) hopefully it will recover BECAUSE...yeah, too bad i still have not blogged about my family etc....my kids are saying that they just can not relate to all this quilting stuff and that i need to branchout and have a little more diversity in post themes. i keep telling them i know, and that i will! but those good intentions just don't seem to materialize do they???

I think it is so much fun to see the interpertaions of the idea, even when we don't know the finished top is to look like. I still haven't cut into my fabrics (I promise not to get to far behine) I haven't totally decided on size, those mini ones are growing on me

These are all so gorgeous! i wish I could play along, but can't until the fall when I will have (hopefully) some of my UFO problem under control!
