now that i changed the design we need alot less connectors than we did before :o) you do not need the top left corner one or the one below it. you also do not need the bottom row 3rd one from the left. yeah!! BUT, you will need these:
the easiest ones to do are the singles--the lights on the background--you might want to start with these to get used to the technique.
and you will need 4 of these:
next, you will notice that i have 2 kinds of blocks that karen does not have. one is a modified connector. it is just a single done twice....you can figure this one out easily enough i think, if you can't, then e-mail me.....
you will need 8 of each of these:
and the second one is a bit trickier. it is a combination of a 9 patch and a connector. but pretty easy to do afterall.....especially after i show you how i did them LOL but you will need:
4 of each of these:

and you will need 8 of these: in the picture mine looks wonkier than it really is :o)

so, these are actually really easy to do, use 3 D's--you will know what D is because you own karen's book--right??-one yellow, two lights. sew a yellow (shown as green) to a blue (shown as purple)like this....
then, sew another blue to the other side of the yellow to make this....
pretty tricky huh? cool. it took me a while to figure that one out......i LOVE quilting, it is a challenge sometimes isn't it? and, it is SOOOO gratifying when you are successful at working out a little challenge.....

Wow, Lynne - where do you find the time to do all that you do??? I'm still chugging along on my "Celtic Knotwork"!!! I do have the new book, though, and the designs are great! That'll be my next project -

i MAKE the time....i don't do laundry...or cook, or clean LOL....no, seriously, this little project has sorta gotten under my skin and made me work on it--you know how sometimes they just GRAB you?
and, i HAD to keep ahead of you all on the "cord of 3 strands" and also had to hurry to get this one "done" so i could get the blocks etc. posted so anyone wanting to work along with me can get their own cutting charts etc. done so they can get their fabric. i will be making 2 of these bigger SLOWLY on my blog....
