sept. 12--i changed the chart.....there will be some MORE 9 patches....when i am done sewing them, probably tomorrow, i will re-post new pictures and amounts....for now you can get to work on these that are listed below, you will still need all of these, i just changed 4 of the connector blocks into 9 patches....
this one looks a little tricky but it really isn't. it is just 2 HST's instead of a whole square--easy peasy huh?
and, you will need a whopping 32 of each of these.....
and, then don't forget the 64 blocks that are just plain for the outer edge and the corners between the tattoo and the border.......WHEW!!!! that was alot of hard work! i think i deserve a drink and a break after that!
here is a picture of most of the 9 patch variations you will need for my tattoo quilt. below i will post a picture of each square and how many you will need to make of each.

the light (my light) fabrics on muslin are for the outer border. the dark green print (my dark) and the dark green solid (my medium) are for the tattoo design. besides these 9 patches, you will need 64 plain background (my muslin) squares, because going round the outer trinity knot border is a round of background and then a dark binding. you will also need the connector blocks--they will be posted next.
so, you can go start coloring in your blocks to make up your graphs and also start figuring out your cuts and yardage for these.....then you can even start making them if you want---but that wouldn't be much of a sew-a-long would it? leave a comment as to when you want to start sewing k?
see how i colored a little paper block and glued it to the worksheet? and, i colored how many of each one that i needed and then glued it to my big glued together paper. i did not add the white squares going round the whole thing coz what a waste of time that would be....it was a really cool process designing and morphing this quilt til i got it how i wanted it to be.....
you will need 8 of each of these: (i swapped out the pictures of the green sample with the real blue, but the colors sure are not true....and, it is such a pain in the you-know-what that i am not swaping out the other ones! i HATE doing the picture part)

and.....
