kevin turned 52 the 20th.....he shared his birthday with his father and the landing on the moon....we had a nice celebration bbq at rhiannon's with the whole clan.... and then on his birthday we celebrated at home and went round the room sharing memories of him (sorta like the tradition at thanksgiving) and that was alot of fun as well as sentimental......we are so thankful that he is here with us and healthy. we never lose sight of how different things could have been had God not chose to heal him of his cancer. i do have to say he is like a fine wine--he just gets better and better with age :o) sooooooo blessed to have him as my husband and father of our children. such a blessing to have a Godly husband.
shea turned 19 the 29th. i was on my trip but got to talk with her on the phone. i had one of the best days ever LOL hope she did too, but since she had to work, i doubt it. she is gonna be going down to stay with jenna and matthew to watch silas while they are working--she is trying to get a transfer with target so she can also work while down there. when she is done with that she will possibly move to las vegas to work for sarah....since she went to germany she seems like she is more on her own anyway, but gee whiz....when did she grow up???
miss providence turned 14 on the 3rd and she had a good time with some friends. she is going into 9th grade--wow!!! she went to orientation this week. i think she is like every other 9th grader--excited and scared at the same time.....but i know she is looking forward to the social part again--the academics? not so much LOL

on my trip i went to my brother in laws wedding then up to my dear friend christi's in sacramento. i was there for her birthday again this year ( i think we should make that an annual thing--the get together i mean! i KNOW the birthday is an annual thing LOL) and this time we got taken to lunch by her father, then back to her house for a nice afternoon and evening with friends, some drinks, and a little grilling of kebabs done by the cabana boy claude....what an enjoyable time. i have known chirsti for 45 years. when we were very young we decided that we would meet on the side of her house at 2521 bates drive in davis california--the spot of our meeting, when we were 104 and throw dirt clods at the side of her house--her activity when we met.....next year we will be halfway there--52. we decided that we are gonna have a little trip together at the halfway point--sept 1st and have a half a party :o) it is gonna be great! i am blessed to have her as my friend still after all these years!
