still strolling down memory lane....

enterprise high school---we spent many an hour sitting under those pine trees. i loved my hign school buildings. we had indoor wings as well as outdoor classes. school was ok, somewhere to go....never really had to study or do homework per se.....a good student naturally, but not all that interested. was happiest taking the sewing and cooking classes....my senior year i took sewing, p.e., government, and then again sewing--i made my own bright yellow down jacket even!! great classes!!!! every time i hear "benny and the jets" my mind flashes me right back to the cafeteria with that song blaring away in the background......those cafeteria ladies made THE BEST CINNAMON ROLLS EVER!!!! it was a pretty good school all in all.....

north valley baptist church on hartnell.....it was known as the "big rich church on the hill" which is kinda sad....it was a bit stuffy if you looked on the outside, but in reality thre were some wonderful people there and a wonderful pastor--royal blue....what a name huh?? it was a pretty conservative baptist church though.....i remember going there the first time--my mom had made me some palazzo pants--you know the ones that you could fit 4 people into the legs alone? VERY stylish in the early 70's--atleast in davis they were--apparently the style had not caught up to redding yet coz NO ONE wore them there yet, and, NO GIRLS EVER, and i mean EVER wore pants to church until i did....i remember wearing my red and white palazzo pants and being stared at like i was from mars or something....anyway, we had the best times at that church--a really active youth group that had a choir and we went and sang in lots of places--riding that church bus on all those trips--what fun memories!!! it is now a pretty pregressive church and it advertises to come just as you are.....no more looking down their noses at girls wearing pants-- let alone a 50 yr. old lady with tattoos LOL i was a trail blazer :o) those comfy girls have me to thank :o)

during the summers when home from college i went to work for one of my mom's friends at enterprise pharmacy. i loved that job!!! we had been in one location and built a new one--what a chore to move a store!!! the new location, on bechelli lane, is now a coffee shop. they have free internet and YUMMY pastries....ask me how i know LOL what a nice way to spend part of my morning......
